于显邦早年毕业于中国医科大学，曾在辽宁省区三五三医院从事临床工作。承担着沈阳市泌尿外科科研攻关重任，获科技进步二等奖1项，获队科技进步二等奖2项。他参与出版了《泌尿外科临床医学》、《泌尿外科肿瘤微创治疗》、《男性泌尿感染研究》等四部著作，他曾主编《泌尿外科临床手术》、《泌尿外科疾病与治疗》等专著2部，获得行业的一致肯定，成为学术研究的典范。
